Every new project at Olfactive requires the involvement of the Product Development Team to first ensure that samples generated for our customers are well-received and then to determine if there are any incompatibilities with the raw materials that will cause problems for large scale production runs.

One area in particular that our Product Development Team is especially proficient at is matching the flavour profiles of existing products. If we cannot produce a perfect match, then we will go to a network of world-class experts at various flavour institutions to get the exact match, extending so far as to the complete reverse engineering of flavour compounds by Mass Spectrometry.

With respect to successful formulation, we are vigilant with respect to all variables, including: Concentrations of raw materials, particle sizes, nutritional profiles, bulk density, capsule/tablet payloads, flavour, solubility, compressibility, odour, price, stability, interactivity, colour, fluidity, and many more. When you put these many variables together, complete solutions become more and more difficult.

Olfactive has developed an exhaustive database for many tests performed on ll of the raw materials we have purchased, facilitating the formulation process. In order to be a member of the Product Development team, candidates must exhibit high degrees of creativity and innovation.
